The 7 Pillars To Wellness
NuFit Wellness Values the 7 Pillars To Wellness
To achieve Health & Vitality, there are 7 areas of lifestyle that optimise your body’s physiological responses including metabolism, hormones, neurotransmitters, gut microbes. To be your healthiest, high performing self start here. Living well is found in the fundamentals to good health. All recommendations are based on scientific research proven to contribute to health, happiness and success.

1) Nutrition
Real food. Less processed and minimal ultra-processed foods. Nutrition for gut health.
Research has shown supporting the integrity of our gut lining is important for overall wellness. This does not mean animal meat free. You have choices. Detox By Design.

2) Movement
Recommendations:
180min weekly
10k steps daily
2-3 resistance sessions weekly
Minimise periods of sitting and screentime
Once we achieve the basics, we can individualise it to your goals.

3) Sleep
Aim to fall in the bracket of 7 to 9 hours average weekly. Rethinking your night and/or morning rituals. Sleep is like a washing machine. It enables our body to process the day without the physiological daily responses. You go into a new day feeling fresh, without yesterdays stains.

4) Optismising The Stress Response
Stress is a natural response to threats. Chronic stress causes inflammation. Learn to use bouts of cortisol and heightened emotions in a resourceful way. Build emotional intelligence, self regulation practices, and become anti-fragile. We build Wellness Weapons.

5) Light
Natural light exposure (especially in the first 1-3 hours of the day) and limiting bright artificial light 10pm-4am can improve mood, offset myopia, improve glucose tolerance, testosterone, estrogen and melatonin profiles. Keyword: Can. The other 6 pillars are just as important.

6) Mindset
Mindsets control our biological responses to foods including hormone responses. Neuroplasticity, Gratitude, Rituals, Habits, Visualisation, Language, Realities, Traumas, Faith, Truths. All these concepts and many more relate to the way we view the world and impact our health in an upward or downward curve. You decide how.

7) Spirituality
You may resonate with using a more specific term: God, Higher Power, The Universe, Quantum Hologram, Universal Consciousness, Truth, Faith, All That Is. Through personal and professional experience I have found that people who place their faith beyond the physical realm are happier and healthier. Spirituality helps fill in the gaps science struggles with. Look a little closer, science backs spirituality. There is no separation. It is all written by the One, same hand.
